Here is What you will Learn
in live Guitar Lessons with Michael:

Goals for Guitar
(Children, Youths, Adults and Seniors)

1.	Learn the basics of music, musicianship, musicality

2.	Learn the guitar using the classic and time tested Mel Bay Guitar method, with Michael Purvis as your instructor and guide

3.	Learn to play a variety of types of music, plus the option of playing the music of particular performers or songwriters which you admire

4.	Learn the notes on all six strings

5.	Play melodies correctly with correct fingering and rhythm in solos which increase in difficulty

6.	Play duets with your teacher (Note duets, duets with chord accompaniment)

7.	Switch off playing accompaniment and melody with your teacher

8.	Learn basic chords

9.	Learn bar chord patterns and their variations in various positions on the fretboard (this will allow you to play virtually any chord)

10.	Learn finger picking patterns

11.	Learn finger plucking patterns

12.	Learn various strums with pick using varying and moving bass notes

13.	Learn various picking patterns with pick using varying and moving bass notes

14.	Learn chord-melody (playing melody and chords together)
